Campfire Turtle Pudgy Pie

Ingredients

  • cooking spray
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough
  • 6-10 chewy caramel candies
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1/4 cup pecans optional
  • 1/4 cup miniature marshmallows optional

Instructions

  • (Optional) Preheat your pie irons over the fire while getting your supplies ready.
  • Spray the insides of your pie irons.
  • Open your tube of crescent roll dough.
  • Place one square (two triangles) inside the pie iron.
  • Add three or four caramel squares and a handful of chocolate chunks.
  • (Optional) Add a handful of pecans or miniature marshmallows.
  • Place another square on top of your filling.
  • Pinch together to seal the dough.
  • Close pie iron carefully and place over campfire.
  • Cook over fire, flipping occasionally, until dough is cooked. Time needed will depend on how hot your fire is. We start with five minutes on each side and then start checking.
